icon12/02/2017 - Eagle Gymnasts Rock at the State Invitational

On December 2nd, the Eagle Gymnastics Academy Girls Compulsory team competed at teh Carol Hillenburg State Invitational. Our Level 2, 3's walked away with 1st place team award.

Level 2 athletes had a fantastics meet! Brynlee S. Ryleigh H, Sophie G, Joslynn P, Kathryn B and Mila M. each had a great performances leading to many personal bests on events and all around.

Level 3 athletes rocked the competition! Amelia F. (Sr. Division) lead the team with an impressive 38.70 AA! She also completely swept the competition, winning 1st on vault, bars, beam, floor and AA. Also in the Sr division, Alyssa V. placed 2nd on bars and AA. Teammates Anaya L took 1st on vault, while Grace B. took 2nd on beam. In the Jr. division, Maycie N. took 1st on vault and bars, 2nd on floor and 3rd AA. Paige M. coming back from injury, earned her personal best on floor.

Level 4 athletes aslo had a great showing. In the Jr. A division, Lindsey R earned 2nd on beam, floor and AA. Amy N. (Achievement) had a fantastic meet earning her personal bests on vault and floor and AA.

Great job to our compulsory athletes for a wonderful meet. 

icon12/09/2017 - Eagle Boys Team First Meet of the Season

WOW! What an amazing beginning to the season for the Eagle Gymnastics Academy Boys' Team. The men's team had a 3 day long competition at Valeri Luikin meet the weeked of December 8-10, 2017.

Starting the weekend off was the Level 7 team. Josh C. earned 2nd on rings and high bar and 8th AA. Owen came home with 6th on high bar in the same division. Kaeden N. took home 11th on pommels and Luke R. and 8th on high bar and pommels while Landon earned 11th on high bar.

In the Level 8 division, Logan pulled it all together and earned 2nd on vault and 8th on rings. The Level 9s were next and Carter K. in the 13-14th year olds, was 5th on vault and Solomon S. in the 15 and older group, earned 5th on vault too.

On Saturday, we only had our Level 9s competing and Jordan L. took home 3rd on floor and 11th on rings. Jordan S. earned 8th on rings and Jack 10th on high bar. 

Sunday was the last day of the meet but by far the busiest. The level 6s were up and they had a great showing. Cameron H. placed 9th AA, Cortland W. earned 4th on parallel bars and Matthew was 10th on floor. Halen W. had a strong showing with 8th AA and 4th on high bar. The team also took home 4th edging out 22 other teams.

Immediatly following the Level 6 team was the Level 4 teams. This was the boys first meet of the season and their first meet EVER! The boys showed confidence and determination. Placing 3rd, 4th and 5th AA were Elliott F., Owen B. and Casen K all in the 6-7 year old age group. In the 8yr old, Ian placed 8th AA. In the 9 year old division, Mace was 4th AA and Sheppard was 6th on pommels. The boys took home 2nd team award.

Last to go were the Level 5 team. In the 7-9 year olds, Jake placed 7th AA and 2nd on rings and his teammates also had a good showing. In the 11 year old division, Noah placed 11th AA, Zach placed 6th AA with a first on parallel bars. With dedication and heart, the boys performed with excellence and placed 3rd in the team awards.

Hear at Eagle, we are extremely proud of our athletes and the dedication they all put into their practice time. Way to go! 

icon01/13/2018 - Eagle Gymnastics Rocks at Friends of Achievers

The Eagle Gymnastics Girls team competed in Lake Dallas, Texas the weekend of January 12-14, 2018 at the Friends of Achievers Invitational. Level 3 and 4 teams walked away victorious taking 1st place team awards.

Session 1 hosted level 4's on Friday morning. All in the Sr. A division, the girls swept 1,2,3 on floor and 1st place on every event and all around was earned by an Eagle athlete. Alexa L. had the strongest meet, earning 1st on vault, beam, floor and AA and 2nd on bars. Andrea L. took 1st on bars and 3rd on floor and AA. Sydney B. placed 2nd on floor.

The level 6 team had an awesome showing Friday afternoon. In the Jr. C division, Lila N finished 3rd on bars. In the Sr. A division, Allison P. earned 1st on bars and beam and 2nd on floor and AA. Sydney K. rounded out the team.

On Friday evening, the level 7 team got their turn to shine. In the Jr. C division, Taryn V. B. earned 3rd on bars and floor. Ashlynn C. Sr. B division, placed 3rd on vault. Annabel P. and Reese R. rounded out the team.

The level 8 team had a great showing on Saturday afternoon. In the Jr. B division, Ailey S. finished 1st on floor. Teammate Pallie M. took 3rd on bars, floor and AA. Amanda B. competed in the Sr. A division and did a great job considering she had been out most of the week with the flu.

On Saturday night, our level 9 athlete took the floor, Madison H. competed in the Sr. A division. Madison rocked beam and floor, earning 2nd all around.

The level 3 team competed early Sunday morning. The team was led by Amelia F. who swept 1st on vault, bars, beam, floor and AA in the Sr. A division. Teammate Alyssa V. earned 2nd on bars, beam, floor and AA. In the Sr. B division, Anaya L. placed 1st on bars and 3rd on vault. Brynlee S. earned 1st on beam in the Jr. A division. In the Jr. B division, Maycie N. placed 1st on bars and floor and 2nd on beam and AA. Teammates Paige M. and Emmeline P. rounded out the Jr. B division. 

The level 2 team also competed Sunday morning. Many athletes earned personal best scores on many events. Ryleigh H., Joslynn P., and Mila M. had an amazing end to their season.

Great job to our Level 2 athletes for a wonderful season. Good luck to the rest of the Compulsory girls team and optional girls team at their next competition in Irving, Texas.

icon01/13/2018 - Boys Team competing in Knoxville and Rockwall

The boys team of Eagle Gymnastics had a busy weekend this past weekend on January 13-14, 2018. We had one group of boys that went to Knoxville, TN for the Ozone Invitational and another attended the Rockwall Invitational. 

The boys that traveled to Knoxville were able to see a city of incredible natural landscape and some of the nicest people a city can offer. Rockwall is a city not lacking in charm and beauty.

For our Ozone attendees, we started Friday evening with Matthew representing the Level 6's receiving 6th on pommel horse and he had personal bests on his other 5 events. The next event was "The Night of Champions" with Level 10's represented in all disciplines of both Men and Women artistic and Men and Women Tumbling and Trampoline. This was an amazing event and the Level 10's were represented well. Jack earned a 6th on pommels and AA, 5th on high bar and 3rd on rings and vault. His teammate, Jordan S received 5th on floor and rings, 3rd on pommels and AA and 2nd on high bar. 

On Sunday it was the Level 9s turn. Solomon S. earned 6th on rings, 5th on pommel horse and 3rd on parallel bars. Following him was our Level 7 team with the 10-11 year olds Joshua S taking home 5th on pommels, Kaeden N. earning 8th on vault and 6th on parallel bars. Luke R. earned an impressive 8th AA and 7th on floor, pommels and high bar also earning 4th on rings while teammate Joshua C. captured 6th on rings and 5th on parallel bars, high bar and AA and 4th on pommel horse and vault. In the 12 and older category, Elias received a 5th on pommel and parallel bars and AA, a 4th on vault and 2nd on rings. His teammate Landen N. earned 7th on floor and pommels, a 5th on parallel bars, 3rd on rings and parallel bars and took home 4th AA.

The weekend was an amazing one for the boys in Knoxville and the boys proudly represented Eagle Gymnastics Academy.

In a completely different time zone, the younger half of Eagle Boys team was busy competing at the Rockwall Invitational in Rockwall Texas. The level 4-6 boys competed all day Saturday, with positive results.

Starting off the first session of the meet was the Level 4's for the 6-7 year olds. Casen K. who placed 2nd on floor, pommel, 3rd on rings and AA. Owen B. placed 3rd on floor and 1st on rings. In the 8 year old division, Ian placed 1st on pommels, rings, high bar and 2nd AA. In the 9-10 year olds, Sheppard who placed 7th on rings and Mace who placed 2nd on pommels, 1st on rings, 3rd on parallel bars, 1st on high bar and 3rd AA. Elliot who had a recent injury came to the meet to show his support by cheering on his teammates at the meet. The boys team placed 3rd.

Following the level 4s was the Level 5 team. First off were the 7-9 year old division, with Ben who placed 2nd on floor, vault and high bar, 3rd on pommels, 1st on rings, 4th on parallel bars and 1st AA. Next up was Jake who placed 1st on pommel horse and 5th AA. 

In the 10-11 year old division, Noah placed 5th on floor, 3rd on pommels, 2nd on rings, high bar and AA and  1st on parallel bars. Last up was Zach who placed 1st on floor, 2nd on parallel bars, 5th on pommels, 3rd on high bar and AA. Altogether the boys team placed 1st as a team.

The boys learned lot this meet through some mistakes but overall, they have improved a tremendous amount on their abilities to score high and win gold! We are so proud of all the boys to include Joseph and Aiden who were unable to compete due to injury but still showed their support. 

icon01/19/2018 - Texas Prime Competition Brings Great Results

The Eagle Gymnastics Girls team competed in Irving, Texas the weekend of January 19-21, 2018 at the Texas Prime Invitational. The level 4's danced away with 3rd place team.

The level 6 team competed Friday morning. Lila (Jr C) earned 2nd bars, 3rd AA, top 5 on floor and top 10 on vault and beam. Allison (Sr A) placed top 5 on bars and top 10 on vault and AA. Teammates Sydney K (Sr A) placed top 5 on vault and top 10 bars. Level 9 Madison H. (Sr A) competed Friday evening. She finished top 10 on vault, beam and floor. 

Level 3 kicked off the day on Saturday morning. Brynlee (Jr B) earned 3rd on beam and top 10 on vault and bars. Maycie (Jr C) took  1st on bars, 3rd AA, top 5 vault and top 10 on beam and floor.Teammate Emmeline (Jr C) placed top 5 on vault and top 10 on bars, floor and AA. Amelia (Sr A) took 1st on floor and AA, 2nd on vault and beam and 3rd on bars. Paige (Sr A) placed top 10 on bars. Grace (Sr B) finished top 10 on bars, beam and floor. Anaya (Sr B) took 3rd on vault and placed top 10 on bars and floor. Alyssa (Sr B) also placed top 10 on bars and beam. Saturday afternoon the level 5 Kiersten (Sr B) performed well and she placed top 5 on floor and top 10 on vault. 

The level 7 team competed early on Sunday morning. Ashlynn (Sr A) won vault with an impressive 9.725. She also placed top 5 on floor and top 10 on bars and AA. Ryan (Jr A) took 2nd on vault and top 10 on beam, floor and AA. Reese (Jr A) earned top 5 on bars and top 10 on vault, beam, floor and AA. Annabel (Jr C) finished top 10 on vault, beam and floor. Level 4s closed out the weekend. Emelia (Jr A) led the team taking 1st on bars and AA, 3rd on vault and top 5 on beam and floor. Teammate Lindsay (Jr A) placed 3rd on floor, top 5 on vault and bars and top 10 on beam and AA. Alexa (Jr B) placed 3rd on vault, floor and AA, top 5 on bars and top 10 on beam. Andrea (Jr B) earned 1st on vault, top 5 on bars and AA and top 10 on beam and floor. Amy (Jr C) earned top 10 on vault, bars and AA. Shaelyn (Sr A) placed top 5 on bars. 

icon01/20/2018 - Boys Team Shine at Ricki Deci Meet

The competition started on Friday, January 19th for the Boys team at Ricki Deci Meet. The first team to chalk up their grips was the 15-16 year olds level 10 group and 12 year old Level 7s.

Competing for the Level 7s was Trey who placed 2nd on rings and 11th AA. Landon took home 5th on parallel bars and 7th on high bar, Luke brought home 11th on high bar, Elias was 8th on pommels and 5th on rings. Gavin took home 8th on vault. The Level 10 group also had a great showing. Jack in the 15 year old age group and Jordan S. in the 16 year old division. Jordan S. received 11th vault, 8th on parallel bars, 7th on high bar, and 10th AA while teammate Jordan L. took 8th on vault and high bar.

The next session was the 11 year old Level 7 group.Joshua C. finished 6th on floor, 3rd on pommels, rings and parallel bars, 5th on vault, 1st on high bar and 2nd AA. Owen C. took home 1st on floor, 6th on rings and vault, 2nd on parallel bars, 5th on high bar and 3rd AA. Kaeden N. earned 4th on floor and pommels, 5th on parallel bars, 7th on vault and 5th AA. Last but not least was Josh S. taking home 6th on pommels and 4th on vault.

Saturday was day two with Level 8, Logan receiving 8th on floor and parallel bars, 2nd on vault,7th on high bar and 7th AA. Up next was our level 9s with Max (14 year old) and Carter (13 year old). Carter received 6th on ring, 9th on vault and parallel bars. Solomon (15 year old) finished 6th on parallel bars, 5th on high bar and 9th AA while teammate Andrew ( 15 year old) took home 8th on pommels, 7th on vault and 9th on high bar.

Level 6 athletes competed Sunday, Halen W. (8-9 yr old) took 6th on pommels, while the Mumbru twins showed improvements from their first meet of the season. Mathew (age 10) took 1st on pommels, while teammate Cameron placed 2nd on high bar. Cortland W. also had a strong meet taking 7th on rings, 3rd on pbars and 10th AA. Tyler and Ryland made tremendous strides from the last competition . Ryland took 5th on rings and high bar and Tyler finished 10 on floor and high bar. In fact, Tyler hit ALL six events! 

Next up is HNI- good luck boys.

The Trampoline and Tumbling team attended Dallas Cup in Allen, Texas the weekend of January 18-21, 2018. The competition included athletes from all over the United States as well as some from Wales and England. The Eagle athletes did very well for their first competition of the season, as shown by the results below.

The Tumbling and Trampoline team continue to bring home the hardware. The weekend of January 26-28, 2018 when they traveled to Ft. Worth for the Metroplex Challenge. The results speak for themselves as all of their hard work truly paid off. These athletes had a fantastic start to their season.

icon02/03/2018 - Houston National Invitational for Boys Team

The weekend of February 2-4th the Eagle Gymnastics Boys team traveled to Houston for the Houston National Invitational. It was an amazing competition with boys from all over the nation as well as several different countries. We also had the honor of seeing great gymnasts as Sam Mikulak on the Men's side and Oksana Chusovitina on the Ladies side. There were many great gymnasts competing and our male gymnasts also made their mark.

Bright and early Friday morning was time for the Level 7's to show us what they were made of. Competing with 40 others in the 11 yr old division,was Owen C. earning 4th on  pommel horse, 9th on high bar, and 9th AA. Teammate, Joshua C. was impressive with a 5th on rings, 4th on vault, 10th on high bar and Kaeden N. earned 10th on high bar. Luke R. grabbed an 8th on high bar competing alongside with Joshua S.  
         In the 12 year old division was Elias who podiumed 3rd on rings and 5th on pommel horse and vault. Trey was next and he earned 5th on rings and Landen N. podiumed with 3rd on high bar and 7th on pommel horse. Gavin earned a 7th on vault with teammate Daniel. The level 7 team ended up with a 3rd place team over all. Later on in the day was competitor Logan in Level 8. He had an impressive 1st on vault and parallel bars and 7th on high bar and also All around. 

Starting day two was the level 9 team with 13 year old Carter K. earning 7th on vault in a field of 45 competitors. Max competed in the 14 year old division and in the 15 and older division was Solomon S. who podiumed with 2nd on pommel horse and 6th on high bar. In the same category was Andrew who took home 8th on vault. Rounding up day 2 of competition was the Level 10 group. In the 15 year old age group, Jack earned 14th on vault out of 63 athletes and in the next age group, Jordan L., took home 12th on pommel horse, 15th on vault and teammate Jordan S. earned 14th on pommel horse and 7th on parallel bars against 60 competitors. It was a very productive first two days of competition.

Starting out strong on Sunday morning was the level fours with over 30 athletes competing in the first division. In the Level 4 division, for the 6-7 year olds, Owen B. with a huge score came in 2nd on pommel horse, 7th on rings, 3rd on high bar and 3rd AA. With teammate Casen K. who placed 10th on rings, 1st on high bar, and 10th AA. With 30 boys in the 8 year old division, Ian placed 5th on pommel horse, 6th on parallel bars, 9th on vault, 4th on high bar and 8th in the AA. And in the 9 year old division, Mace placed 1st on pommel horse, 4th on rings, 6th on vault, 2nd on high bar and 3rd AA. Sheppard placed 6th on rings and 5th on parallel bars. With combined efforts and hard work, the level 4 boys won 3rd place in the team finals out of 24 teams!

Next up was the level 5 team. Competing in the 9-10 year old division with 66 athletes was Ben who placed 4th on rings, 5th on parallel bars, and 10th AA. Jake W. placed 11th on vault. With a recent comeback from injury, Aiden competed with focus and integrity. In the 11 year old division with 34 athletes, Zach placed 2nd on floor, 4th on pommel horse, 7th on parallel bars, 5th on high bar and 5th AA. Noah placed 5th on rings, 6th on parallel bars, 7th on high bar and 7th AA. The boys placed 8th as a team out of a whopping 35 teams.

Finishing the weekend was the Level 6 boys from Eagle. With over 175 boys competing in this session, it was an epic showdown. Liam and Ian M. both competed giants on high bar for the first time this season and survived. With some crowd cheering and some fearless hearts, both boys fought through some falls and finished strong. Cameron H. stood up to the pressure on high bar as well. He posted a 10.7 and taking 2nd place out of 65 boys. Cortland W. took 7th on floor and 9th on rings and Matthew B. took home 3rd overall on pommel horse with a 10.9! Ryland and Tyler T. both had great meets as well, hitting some season highs on several events and gaining more confidence with each competition. 

The competition was tough this weekend, as many of the top programs nationally showed up. It was a great experience to be had by all. 

icon02/02/2018 - Eagle Athletes Soar to the Top at Houston National Invitational

On February 2-4,. 2018 the Eagle Gymnastics Girls Team traveled to Houston, Texas to compete at the Houston National Invitational. This competition hosts up to 1000+ athletes over the course of 3 days in 3 gymnastic disciplines: Men and Women's Artistic and Trampoline and Tumbling. 

The level 4 team was led by Sydney B. (Sr C) who earned 1st on bars & AA, 2nd on beam and floor and 3rd on vault. Emilia (Sr A) almost swept her age group, taking 1st on bars, beam, floor & AA, while finishing top 5 on vault. Lindsay (Jr C) took 2nd on vault & floor, 3rd on beam & AA and top 5 on bars. This 3-up-3 count team took home 2nd place winnings. 

The level 7 team athletes competed next. Though there were a few mistakes, the girls rallied together to take 2nd place. Ryan (Jr A) led the team, dancing her way to 1st on floor. She also took 2nd AA, 3rd on vault, top 5 on bars and top 10 on beam. Teammate Reese (Jr A) placed top 10 in all 4 events and AA. Ashlynn (Jr C) took 1st on bars, 2nd on vault, 3rd AA, top 5 on floor and top 10 on beam. Annabel (Jr C) finished 1st on beam and top 10 vault, bars, floor and AA.

The level 5 & 6 athletes competed together in adjacent gyms. Level 6 Lila (Jr B) earned 1st on beam, 2nd on floor and 3rd AA. She also placed top 10 vault and bars. Allison (Jr C) finished 1st on floor, 3rd on bars and top 10 on vault. Our Level 5, Kiersten (Sr A) placed top 5 on floor and top 10 on vault in Sr. A division. 

Level 9 Madison (Sr) competed Saturday evening. She took 3rd for her dynamic floor routine, while finishing 2nd on beam. She also placed top 5 on vault. Level 8 Amanda B. (Jr C) competed early Sunday morning taking 10th on all 4 events and AA.

The level 3 athletes closed out the weekend withe 1st place team competing in their first travel meet. Amelia (Jr B) led the team, taking 1st AA, vault and bars, 2nd on floor and top 10 on beam. Teammate Maycie (Jr B) finished 2nd on bars, top 5 on floor and AA and top 10 on vault, while Alyssa (Jr B) placed 2nd on beam, top 5 on vault and AA and top 10 on bars and floor. Emmeline (Jr B) earned top 5 on bars and top 10 on vault, beam, floor and AA, while Page (Jr B) earned top 5 on bars and beam and top 10 on vault, floor and AA. Grace (Sr A) placed 1st on beam, 2nd AA, 3rd on bars & floor and top 10 on vault.while Anaya (Sr A) finished 1st on bars, 3rd on vault and AA, top 5 on floor and top 10 on beam. Brynlee (Jr A) earned 1st on beam, 2nd on floor, top 5 on vault, bars and AA.
