icon03/31/2017 - Regional Championships for Boys Team of Eagle Gymnastics Academy

The boys team travelled to Kansas City, Missouri on March 31st to April 2nd to compete at the Regional Championships.

Level 10's Zachary T. wowed by earning Regional Champ on rings and parallel bars as well as top 10 on AA qualifying him for the Junior Olympic Nationals. Teammate Jordan S. earned 2nd on rings and top 5 on parallel bars.

Level 8's Carter K. made Eagle proud qualifying for the Junior Olympic Nationals and as a Junior Elite. Solomon S. (JD 14 yrs) earned top 5 on floor, pommel horse, vault and parallel bars as well as nabbing top 10 on AA. Teammate Evan Woodburn (11-12 years) rounded out the team. 

Level 7's Logan W. (age 12) impressed all earning 1st on vault and top 5 on floor, rings, parallel bars, high bar and AA. Joshua C. (10 years) was close behind receiving top 5 on rings, vault and high bar in addition to top 10 on floor, pommel horse, vault, pbars, high bar and AA. Teammate Kaeden N. earned top 10 on pommel horse, vault, pbars, high bar and AA. Luke R. also in the 10 year old division, added to the winnings receiving top 10 on pommel horse, rings and vault.
         For the age 11 year old group, Elias A. earned top 10 on ringss and pbars while Landen N. received top 10 on high bar. Michael G. in the 12 year old division rounded out the team finishing top 5 on high bar and top 10 on floor, pommel horse, rings and AA.

Rounding out the weekend was the Level 6 team. Owen C. in the 10 year old division took home 2nd on pommel horse, top 5 on parallel bars and top 10 on floor, vault, high bar and AA. Teammate Brecken F. earned top 5 on pommel horse while Timmy made some huge improvements throughout the meet. Gavin B. in the 11 year old division received top 5 on parallel bars while Cameron H. and Cortland W. in the 8 year old division had personal bests. 

We are so proud of all of the boys for their busy but successful season.

icon04/15/2017 - Regional Championships for Eagle Gymnastics Girls Team

Four athletes from the Level 7 Eagle Gymnastics women's team travelled to Albuquerque, New Mexico to compete at Region 3 Championships. Ailey S., Anna R. and Annabel P. kicked the weekend off on Friday afternoon in the Jr. D division. Ailey became the Region 3 Uneven Bars Champion in the C sub group. She also finished 3rd on floor, top 5 AA and top 10 on beam. Anna placed top 10 on bars, while Annabel landed top 10 on beam in the B sub group. 

Alex B in the Sr. Division on Saturday evening walked away with a top 10 finish on vault.

Region 3 Championships hosts roughly 500 athletes from Arkansas, Colorado, Kansas, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Texas and Wyoming. Congratulations on a wonderful season girls. 

icon04/22/2017 - State Champions for Tumbling and Trampoline Team at Eagle

The Tumbling and Trampoline Team at Eagle Gymnastics Academy had another great competition at the 2017 State Championships. We brought home 59 top 3 awards with 28 gold medals, 21 silver medals and 10 bronze medals. We also took home 13 top 2 team awards. Every athlete that competed also qualified to the National Championships on at least one of the three events. What an amazing showing for all of the athletes.

icon04/22/2017 - Region 3 Balance Beam Champion

Level 8 Madison H. (Sr C) represented Eagle Gymnastics Academy in Estes Park, Colorado at Region 3 Championships. She became Region 3 Balance Beam Champion in the C sub group. She also finished 2nd on floor and 6th on vault and the All Around.

Region 3 Championships hosts roughly 450  athletes from Arkansas, Colorado, Kansas, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Texas and Wyoming. Congratulations to an amazing season.

Congratulations to Team Eagle Trampoline and Tumbling team on another great competition. We had 13 Regional titles and 52 top 10 finishes throughout the weekend. This competition has 7 states involved and more than 1500 athletes competing over 4 days in Downtown Ft. Worth.

icon05/10/2017 - Eagle Gymnastics Boys perform at JO National Championships

The boys team traveled to Kissimmee Florida for the Junior Olympic National Championships on May 10, 2017. Training day was on the Wednesday and Zach Thomas and Carter Kim earned their right to train with the team representing Region 3 on the National floor. This was the start to many adventures for the boys to experience. Later on that night, was the opening ceremonies where all of teams that qualified to represent their families and gyms were introduced. In the end, there were 50 states, 9 Regions and over 800 athletes with the two Eagle boys being a part of this amazing experience.

The next day, Thursday, May 11th, brought their first competition. Zach started out the meet for Eagle. He had a great competition and finished up with taking home 14th on parallel bars and 13th on high bar with over 100 athletes in his age group. . 

Next up was Carter Kim. He was competing as a Junior Elite. In this category, he had a two day meet. On Day one, he competed his optional routines on Friday, May 12th with Region 3 winning the 2nd place team. Then on Sunday, May 14th was his Technical day. On this day he did an amazing job and gained vast experience. 

Both of the Eagle boys had an amazing season and with their hard work and determination, they earned the right and privelege to be a part of his experience. We are so proud of them and how they not only represented themselves but also Eagle Gymnastics Academy. Way to go! 

icon05/22/2017 - Tumbling and Trampoline Team travel to Elite Challenge

Eagle Gymnastics Academy sent 8 athletes to the Elite Challenge at the National Training Center held in Colorado Springs. The coaches are proud to report that all athletes qualified to compete in the Finals.

In the Senior Elite division, Hope Bravo earned 2nd for Women's Tumbling and Drew Collins earned 4th for Men's Tumbling. Isaac Rowley placed 4th in individual trampoline and 3rd in Synchro trampoline. 

Open Elite athlete, Jeremy Darr placed 2nd in tumbling and Rachel Ramage place 6th in tumbling in the Junior Elite division. 

Level 10 athletes, Weston Sitz and Amanda Thompson, placed 4th and 6th respectively on trampoline. 

The T & T Elite Challenge is the second of three qualifying events for determining the athletes who will represent the USA at the 2017 World Games in July 20-30th in Wroclaw, Poland. Athletes earn World Games bonus points based on performances at the 2017 Winter Classic held in February, the Elite Challenge and the 2017 USA Championships which will be held June 25- July 2, 2017. 

The top ranked athletes from each gender and discipline based on their World Games selection score will represent the USA. 

Best of luck to our athletes as they head off to National Championships in a few weeks.

Our Tumbling and Trampoline team competed against athletes from around USA at the 2017 Stars and Stripes Championships on July 20-23, 2017 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Team Eagle brought home 10  podium finishes and two recognition awards. 

The Eagle Gymnastics Academy program was recognized by USA Gymnastics as DEVELOPMENTAL PROGRAM of the YEAR. and Jared Olsen won DEVELOPMENTAL COACH of the YEAR!

icon07/29/2017 - 2017 USA National Championships

Athletes from Eagle Gymnastics Academy in Frisco traveled to the USA National Championships for Trampoline and Trampoline this month and came back with 2 National Titles and several athletes placing in the top 10. Four athletes were named to the USA National Team and Coach Jared Olsen was recognized as the Tumbling Coach of the Year and named to National Team Coaching Staff.

In the level 8, age 10 and under division, Kyrsten D. earned the silver medal on Double Mini, Kayla G. earned 4th place on Double Mini and 5th place on Trampoline. In the 11-12 age group, Merit W. placed 10th on Double Mini and 6th on Trampoline. For Tumbling, Gracie C. placed 4th and Grace S. placed 13th. In the 15 and over division, Bailey C. placed 15th on both Trampoline and Double Mini. Also competing level 8, Mia D., Sadie B., Mihika S. earned some valuable experience at their first USA National Championships.

Competing Level 9, Faith B. earned 8th place on Tumbling in the 13-14 age group, and sister Hope B. earned 11th. Trying to defend her National Title, Caroline W. came up just a few tenths short in scores and earned the silver medal in both Trampoline and Double Mini in the 13-14 yera old age division. in the 15 and older age group, Ellee E. placed 10th on Tumbling and both Amanda T. and Weston S. were crowned the National Champion title on trampoline and Amanda T. finished 7th place. 

Competing at the highest level in the sport at the elite level, Eagle athletes proved they could compete amongst the best in the country. In the Open Elite division on tumbling, Jeremy D. finished 4th place. In the Jr. Elite Division, Rachel R. placed 9th, earning a spot on USA's National Team. In the Senior Elite Division on tumbling, both athletes, Drew C. and Hope B. placed 4th, also earning a spot on USA's National Team.

Competing in her first year as a Senior Elite, Susan S. had an impressive competition finishing 5th place on individual trampoline and 2nd in Synchro Trampoline. Isaac R. finished 6th place in individual trampoline, and 3rd in Synchro Trampoline. Isaac was named to USA's National Team and will be representing the USA at the World Cup in Belarus in August for both individual and Synchro Trampoline.

Next up for the Elites is the World Championships Selection Camp, August 31- September 3rd at the National Training Camp in Huntsville, Texas. Four of our senior elites have been invited to participate. The following weekend the 4 athletes will return for the World Age Group Competition Selection Camp.

icon08/18/2017 - First Eagle Athlete Competes in Belarus!

Isaac Rowley, age 18 years, was one of four male athletes chosen by USA Gymnastics to represent Team USA at the Trampoline World Cup competition in Minsk, Belarus that was held August 14-20, 2017. This was Isaac's first international competition as a senior Elite, the highest level of competition in our sport. Isaac was one of the youngest competitors at the competition where he competed both of his routines in the preliminary round and finished 21st place. 

This competition included some of the top athletes in the world, including the 2016 Olympic Champion and many other past Olympians.
